MJH advising Lagardère Travel Retail in acquisition of companies operating coffee shops under the Costa Coffee brand

Moskwa, Jarmul, Haładyj i Partnerzy advised Lagardère Travel Retail in a transaction as a result of which, upon fulfillment of certain conditions, Lagardère Travel Retail will acquire from Costa Coffee (a company owned by the Coca-Cola Company) companies operating coffee shops under the Costa Coffee brand in Poland and Latvia. The scope of works included comprehensive legal transaction advisory, including conducting due diligence, structuring the transaction, and advising on the share purchase agreement.

The transaction was led by partners Pawel Moskwa, Jan Jarmul and Lukasz Blazejczyk.

Costa Coffee was founded in London by Italian brothers Sergio and Bruno Costa in 1971. It now operates in 41 countries worldwide and has over 2,700 coffee shops in the UK and 1,100 in other countries. Lagardère Travel Retail is a global leader in the Travel Retail industry. Managing 4,800 stores across three business lines - Travel Essentials, Duty Free & Fashion and Foodservice specifically in airports, railroad stations in nearly forty countries.
